In Sri Lanka, incredible wildlife-viewing destinations include Yala National Park; one of the few places in the world where you can spot wild leopards. There’s also the chance to see thousands of shorebirds at Bundala National Park and get up close with baby elephants at the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, which takes care of orphaned elephant calves until they can be released back into the wild.

In Thailand, a visit to Phuket’s Big Buddha and a speedboat ride to the lush Phi Phi Islands await. The ship then sails on to Port Klang, close to Kuala Lumpur.
