Seward is Alaska’s southern gateway to the wilderness, so we’ll set sail from here for a full day of scenic cruising through College Fjord – offering a glimpse of hulking glaciers and spectacular wildlife. We then dock at Cordova where incredible hikes through the rainforest and around the Copper River delta await. After a day at sea, we’ll enjoy a day of scenic sailing around Icy Bay, heading towards the Hubbard Glacier – the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Stopping at remote Icy Strait Point, adventure and wilderness await on land; and, in Haines, you can enjoy kayaking and hiking, or simply learn about local culture at museums and galleries. We then sail through Tracy Arm fjord, stop in humpback whale feeding ground, Petersburg, and voyage to Alaska’s capital, Juneau, known for its large concentration of these marine mammals.
Explore the world’s largest temperate rainforest in Wrangell, as well as mountains and gorgeous, uninhabited islands, and learn about indigenous totem poles in Ketchikan. We then sail the incredible Inside Passage, passing snow-capped mountains and enormous glaciers, before concluding this leg of the journey at Canada’s Vancouver Island, where there are land- based adventures aplenty.
