Safe Sailing

Our guests remain our priority along with our crew and the places we will visit. We have introduced a number of measures to ensure Safe Sailing.

Vaccination Policy

We require our guests to be fully vaccinated with all Covid-19 doses to have been administered 14 days prior to sailing. All guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination.  We will be sailing with a fully vaccinated crew onboard Golden Horizon.

Testing and Health Screening

Prior to boarding all guests are required to complete a health questionnaire.

All guests will be required to take a complimentary antigen test prior to boarding.

An additional test will be administered onboard free of charge prior to disembarkation.

We will also assist guests with the certification for their home port, home country re-entry.

Responsible Social Distancing

Face masks are optional when in public areas, and not needed when seated in restaurants, bars, lounges, cabins and when sitting on the upper deck.

Social distancing measures in place when queuing for facilities on board and booking desks.

High Standards of Sanitation & Cleanliness

New cleaning methods including the use of hospital-grade disinfectants, increased cleaning frequency and a focus on high traffic, frequently touched areas.

Cabins cleaned daily, with additional deep sanitation at the end of each voyage.

Hand sanitiser dispensers available around the ship.

Medical Services with Highly Qualified Staff

Our health consultant on board is VIKAND, a leading expert in global medical operations and public health solutions for the maritimee industry.

Currently, VIKAND provides medical service solutions to 170+ cruise vessels, impacting 14,000,000 guests and 120,000 crew globally annually as well as numerous other maritime and remote industry clients worldwide, and we have seen that commitment brought to life using the latest technology, advanced environmental solutions and crew wellness initiatives

In case of flu-like symptoms, guests should notify the Medical Centre.

Equipped Medical Centre:

  • COVID-19 testing equipment
  • Ventilators
  • Increased number of highly trained staff.

Comprehensive isolation procedures and a response plan in place with local authorities that will be activated in case of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 situations.

COVID-19 testing prior to embarking and daily health monitoring and temperature checks.

Tradewind Voyages Covid Policy

Tradewind Voyages are committed to meeting all recommended Industry and Government Covid protocols for their voyages but also recognise that the situation is continually evolving and that for the foreseeable future, requirements will be dependent to a degree on the Voyage destinations. In order to assist our guests in planning we have developed our Covid principles along the following lines.

Over 75’s
  • We have also taken the decision to revoke our policy for over 75’s needing a fit to travel note from their doctor for our UK Voyages only (this also includes our voyages to Norway & Denmark). All guests are still required to have valid travel insurance for their voyage. For any voyage departing from any other port that is not within the UK, we will require a fit to travel note from the guests doctor if they are aged 75 or above, this will be required upon embarkation and guests who do not have this may be refused boarding.

UK Domestic Voyages

  • Subject to any significant changes to Government travel policy, TWV do not require passengers to be vaccinated for UK domestic Voyages.
  • Passengers will however require to be in possession of evidence of vaccination or be will required to prove negative in tests on embarkation.
  • Temperature checks will be taken on embarkation.

International Voyages

  • For the safety of passengers and crew, all persons onboard Golden Horizon (passengers and crew) will require evidence of Vaccination.

Australian domestic voyages

  • Subject to Australian Government travel policy, TWV do not require passengers to be vaccinated for UK domestic Voyages.

All above protocols are subject to any significant changes to Government travel policy.
